MAJOR PATRONS

The following records are derived primarily from records volumes published by the Malone Society and Records of Early English Drama, and Ian Lancashire's Dramatic Texts and Records qf Britain: A Chronological Topography to 1555 (Toronto: University of Toronto Press, 1984). When specific performance or payment dates are not available, the dates of accounting years are cited. In those cases where accounting years overlap from the last year of Edward's reign or into the first year of Elizabeth's, the performers' actual appearance may have been outside Mary's reign.
